Evercore seeks to hire investment banking Summer Associates for: New York Private Placements Advisory.
Evercore's unique market position provides Associates the ability to work closely with senior bankers on industry-transforming transactions in markets around the world. The small transaction team structure allows Associates a strong platform to learn investment banking and assume high levels of responsibility at early stages of their careers.
Candidates must have a strong interest in investment banking with solid quantitative and analytical skills, as well the ability to think broadly about a range of strategic issues confronting the firm’s clients. Knowledge of accounting, valuation, finance, and business strategy is a must. Responsibilities for an Associate include managing analysts, overseeing financial and valuation analysis, resolving complex financial and accounting issues, industry and competitive analysis, due diligence, drafting client presentation materials, management and execution of live deal situations, and assistance with new business development.

Specific Qualifications
Candidates should have:
- Completed one year of an MBA from a top business school
- 4+ years of Pre-MBA work experience
- Excellent grasp of corporate finance, valuation, and financial accounting

- Strong communications skills, both written and oral
- Strong work ethic
- Enthusiastic, outgoing, and achievement-oriented character

A Scholarship applicant must:
Personal statement (500 words or fewer) addressing what you believe demonstrates your qualification for the MBA Diversity Fellowship, including a description of your academic and personal strengths; and/or exceptional contributions, through community service, leadership, school activities or otherwise, to the cause of diversity.
Scholarship recipients will be selected from among the eligible applicants who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership qualities and who also have demonstrated contributions to diversity initiatives or to diversity and inclusion more generally, such as in the area(s) of racial or ethnic diversity, sexual orientation or gender identity, disability, and/or veteran status.
