The Private Placements Advisory team is a leader in the structuring and execution of private capital transactions for Evercore’s public and private corporate clients that require bespoke direct private equity, credit or hybrid financing solutions. Our Summer Associate Program is a 10-week intensive program designed to provide highly motivated MBA students with interest in and / or some experience in credit advisory, leveraged finance, venture capital, strategic advisory, special situations, and / or restructuring.
The Team is seeking an intelligent, mature individual with the desire and flexibility to work in a boutique environment and learn on the job. In addition, a Summer Associate must demonstrate the ability to work on several projects concurrently and possess the desire to learn and work hard. Furthermore, the Private Placements Advisory team highly values and supports diversity-centered organizations like Forte, SEO, MLT, JumpStart Advisory Group and welcomes candidates with similar affinity for these missions.
A Summer Associate will work on a variety of private capital assignments across the capital structure (both debt and equity) and across industry groups. These mandates are typically executed on behalf of public and private companies, management teams or alternative institutional investors. As part of the team assigned to these projects, he or she will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: preparation and attendance of client meetings, preparation of offering materials, financial modeling, resolving complex accounting issues, financial statement and credit document analysis, valuation analysis, industry analysis, due diligence and new business development. He or she must work as part of small teams and will have close contact with client contacts, as well as senior leaders within the firm.
Evercore offers highly-qualified Summer Associates the chance to advance more rapidly and take on more responsibility than in traditional bulge-bracket firms, exposure to blue-chip clients, and the chance to be part of a rapidly growing, highly regarded firm.
