POSITION: Evercore seeks to hire a first year VP for its Consumer Advisory Team located in New York, NY.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES: Evercore’s differentiated approach to advisory provides Vice Presidents with the ability to work closely with senior bankers on industry-transforming, multi-billion dollar transactions around the world. The small transaction team structure creates a strong platform for Vice Presidents to learn investment banking and assume high levels of responsibility at early stages of their careers. As part of the team, the Vice President will have the opportunity to work on a variety of strategic advisory assignments including: sellside and buyside M&A engagements; activism and raid defense; divestitures and spin-off engagements; equity and equity-linked capital-raising; special committee engagements; debt and restructuring advisory and, more broadly, evaluation of strategic alternatives.
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a strong interest in investment banking with solid quantitative and analytical skills, as well the ability to think broadly about a range of strategic issues confronting the firm’s clients. Knowledge of accounting, valuation, finance, and business strategy is a must. Responsibilities for an Vice President include management and execution of live transactions, assistance with new business development, and fostering of client relationships, with a particular focus on managing analysts and associates, overseeing financial and valuation analysis, resolving complex financial and accounting issues, performing industry and competitive analysis, and preparing client presentation materials.

- An MBA from a top-tier business school or equivalent investment banking experience
